There’s something worth knowing up front about how AI chat works in the App Editor: it doesn’t ask for approval before making a change. It builds directly onto your screen, live, as it works. That makes it fast – and it means “undo” is your real safety net, not a review step beforehand.
How to undo
1. Use Undo
Click the Undo button in the editor toolbar, or use your keyboard’s undo shortcut. One click reverses everything from that AI response in a single step – you don’t need to click through each individual action it took.
2. Use Redo if you undid too far
If Undo takes back more than you meant to, Redo brings it forward again.
3. Or just describe the fix instead
For a small correction rather than a full undo, it’s often faster to tell the AI what to change – “make it smaller” or “move that up” – than to undo and start over. See Write prompts that get the screen you want.
4. Or switch to editing that part by hand
If the AI keeps missing on one specific detail, it’s usually quicker to just fix that one piece yourself. See Edit screens and components by hand.
