Connect Cursor or VS Code to AppNatively

To connect Cursor or VS Code to AppNatively, add the server URL https://appnatively.com/mcp to the editor’s mcp.json file, then sign in to AppNatively when the editor asks. The editor’s AI agent can then design your mobile app’s pages. Any other MCP client that supports remote HTTP servers works the same way.

How to connect Cursor

1. Add AppNatively to mcp.json

Use .cursor/mcp.json in a project, or ~/.cursor/mcp.json to use it in every project:

2. Sign in

Save the file, find appnatively in Cursor’s MCP settings, and sign in to AppNatively when prompted. Then ask the agent: “List my AppNatively apps.”

How to connect VS Code

1. Add the server

Run MCP: Add Server from the Command Palette and choose the HTTP option, or add it to .vscode/mcp.json yourself:

To use it in every workspace, run MCP: Open User Configuration and add it there instead.

2. Start it and sign in

Start the server from the file or the MCP servers list, then sign in to AppNatively when VS Code asks. Use it from Copilot Chat in agent mode.

How to connect other MCP clients

Any client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP (streamable HTTP) works. Give it the server URL https://appnatively.com/mcp:

• If the client supports OAuth sign-in, it sends you to AppNatively to approve – nothing else to configure.
• If it can’t sign in, set an Authorization: Bearer header with a manual token – see Use a manual token with the AppNatively MCP server.
