To undo a change an AI assistant made to your AppNatively app, ask the assistant to reverse it, fix it by hand in the App Editor, or use Rollback to production… to return your draft to the live version. The App Editor’s Undo button can’t reverse AI changes. Nothing reaches your users until you publish, so there’s always time.
Why doesn’t Undo work on AI changes?
Your AI assistant saves its changes straight to your app’s draft – there’s no approval step first. When one arrives, the App Editor starts a fresh undo history, and a notice tells you so.
Option 1: Ask the assistant to reverse it
The quickest option for a recent change. In the same conversation, say something like “undo what you just did to the Home page” or “put the banner back the way it was.” The assistant knows what it changed in that conversation and can reverse it.
Option 2: Fix it by hand
For one small detail, it’s often quicker to adjust it yourself – delete the extra component, change the text back, drag something into place. See Edit screens and components by hand.
Option 3: Roll the whole draft back to what’s live
If your published version is what you want, open the App Editor’s More actions (⋯) menu and choose Rollback to production…. It replaces your draft with the version your users currently have. The option only appears once the app has been published at least once.
Important: rollback throws away every unpublished change in the draft – yours as well as the AI’s. Only use it when you’re happy to start again from the live version.
How do I avoid big surprises?
- Ask for changes in smaller steps, so each one is easy to review and reverse.
- Keep the App Editor open while the AI works, so you see each change as it lands.
- Before a big redesign, publish a version you’re happy with. Then Rollback to production… is always a safe way back.
